Privacy, data handling and recording visibility

Fieldy's 27 August 2026 privacy policy says personal-use audio is sent to transcription providers or processed by Fieldy's own models and deleted when no longer needed. It also says speaker-recognition profiles are biometric data and are generated only with explicit consent. Organisation users have a separate sharing exception, so employers and teams should document what is delivered to their systems, who can access it and how long it is retained.

Fieldy's current device guide also lets users turn the recording light off, suppressing the LED entirely. That can be convenient in visually distracting environments, but it also removes a passive cue that other people might otherwise notice. NERALVO therefore treats participant notice as an explicit workflow requirement rather than something a status light can solve.

1. Recording visibility: test the default LED-on state and any deliberately configured LED-off state, then confirm the participant-notice process works independently of the light.
2. Session boundary: run a representative long conversation and verify what happens as the published three-hour conversation limit is approached.
3. Wearable acoustics: compare pendant and watch placement while seated, walking and wearing normal clothing to identify movement or contact noise.
4. Offline recovery: capture while disconnected, retain several conversations offline, reconnect later and verify that sync completes without losing the source needed for processing.
5. Personal-use retention: confirm when source audio is deleted, what transcript remains and whether the lack of later source-audio replay is acceptable for the intended work.
6. Organisation deployment: if an employer or team supplies Fieldy, review the exact organisation agreement and test who can access transcripts/audio, how long data is retained and what users are told in-product.
