A recording that ends early or appears as several files can result from battery loss, storage limits, mode changes, app behaviour or an interrupted save. The first step is to identify whether audio was never captured, saved elsewhere or divided normally by the system.
Check the timeline
Write down the intended start and finish, file durations, battery level, storage state and any button presses or phone events. Compare the gap with what happened in the room.
Common causes
- Battery depleted before the session ended.
- Storage reached capacity.
- The user stopped and restarted recording.
- Mode changed between NOTE and CALL.
- A call or device event interrupted capture.
- The recorder automatically divided a long file.
- Transfer showed only part of the local recording.
Prevent recurrence
- Charge before important sessions.
- Maintain a storage buffer.
- Confirm the recording indicator after starting.
- Use spoken section markers rather than repeated stopping.
- Test the maximum real meeting length.
- Verify the saved file immediately after the meeting.
Protect the source
Do not delete or repeatedly rename files while diagnosing the problem. Export copies and preserve original timestamps.
How NERALVO Halo should be tested
NERALVO Halo offers up to 35 hours of recording and 64GB storage, but users should still test long-session behaviour, warnings and save recovery under their actual setup.
A pre-meeting readiness check is more reliable than discovering after an important conversation that the final section is missing.
