A sensitive-data test should never begin by placing real confidential material into an unproven system. Start with synthetic content that imitates the structure and risk of the intended use without identifying real people.
Define the high-impact errors
List what would cause harm in the target workflow:
- Wrong identity or speaker.
- Incorrect health, financial or allegation detail.
- Missing negative wording.
- Excess access or sharing.
- Failure to delete temporary audio.
- AI inference presented as fact.
Create a synthetic test pack
Use invented names, dates, reference numbers and scenarios. Include overlapping speakers, uncertainty, corrections and a section that should not be recorded. Prepare a ground-truth version for comparison.

- Phone transfer and app account.
- Transcription and summary.
- Human correction and approval.
- Redaction and export.
- Destination-system access.
- Deletion and evidence of closure.
Use stricter release gates
Require successful testing of critical errors, incident recovery, user competence and destination controls before any real sensitive data is introduced. A good general meeting transcript is not enough evidence.
