A phone case can affect attachment strength, microphone exposure and call-audio transfer. The safest approach is to test the complete phone-and-case combination rather than assuming a magnetic fit proves recording performance.
Check physical fit
- The recorder sits flat and does not rock.
- The magnet holds during normal handling.
- No microphone opening is covered.
- Buttons are not pressed accidentally.
- The device does not interfere with a camera, cable or wallet attachment.
Run three audio tests
- Room recording while attached.
- Room recording while detached and centrally placed.
- Supported call recording with the usual case and audio route.
Compare original audio, not only transcript output.
Use a safe carrying rule
A magnetic attachment is not a guarantee against drops. Avoid relying on it during running, climbing, machinery work or situations where a falling device creates risk.
